Hello and welcome,

Even considering support takes thought and courage. It often means you’re recognising that you deserve more, or that something needs to change. Being here is already an important first step towards looking after your wellbeing.

I’m a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor with an accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy, and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have experience working within the NHS and with private clients.

I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds, supporting them through life’s ups and downs - from anxiety, low mood and depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, life transitions, identity questions, neurodiversity struggles, addiction and trauma, to those big “what’s the point?” or “what’s wrong with me?” moments we all encounter from time to time.

I have particular interest and expertise working with young adults, who often tell me how overwhelming and confusing life can feel in today’s fast-paced world.

My approach

I completely understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. You might have had some experience in the past that left you a bit cold. You might feel nervous, cynical, or a bit awkward - that’s totally normal. But therapy doesn’t always have to be heavy or intimidating.

It doesn’t necessarily have to be about long silences, scratching of brows and deep frowns. The process can also be open, creative, and sometimes even amusing, because laughter and insight often go hand in hand.

For me, effective therapy isn’t rocket science. It’s all about attuned connection - a genuine, trusting relationship between two humans where you feel instinctively that you can be your true self. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. No jargon, no hierarchy and no judgement. I bring compassion, curiosity, hopefully a little insight, and a good dose of humanity to every session.

I am not afraid to ask difficult questions when and where it feels appropriate but always with kindness, intuition and with a view to growth.

Therapy can’t rewrite your past, but it can reshape the way you meet your present. I’m here to offer a trusting, human space where you can explore your inner world, deepen your self-understanding, and take steps toward meaningful and sustainable change.

Therapy

Whether you’re looking for short-term guidance or a longer journey of understanding, we’ll work in a way that suits you. We’ll go at a pace that feels manageable, and we’ll take time to review things together so you can share what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’d like to focus on next.

I am an integrative therapist meaning we might draw on a range of therapeutic approaches dependant on what feels most appropriate for you and what feels right in the moment. I do not believe in a one-style-fits-all approach as, after all,  we are all fundamentally unique. What works for one does not necessarily mean it works for another.

  • Person-centred therapy

We start with you. Your experiences, feelings, and insights lead the way. It’s about creating a space where you feel truly heard and accepted, just as you are.

  • Psychodynamic approaches

We might focus on uncovering unconscious thoughts and past experiences that shape current emotions and behaviours.

Techniques may include free-association and dream interpretation or exploring childhood patterns, attachment style and defenses with the objective to increase self-awareness and resolve internal conflicts

  • Gestalt techniques

This helps you become more aware of what’s happening for you in the present moment — physically, emotionally, and relationally — so you can respond rather than react.

  • Solution-focused work

We look at what’s already working, your strengths, and what’s possible, helping you take practical steps towards the change you want.

  • Transpersonal therapy

When, and if, it feels right, we can explore questions of meaning, purpose, and personal growth — connecting with something larger than day-to-day struggles.
